Chief Engineer - Energy Storage Systems

An opportunity exists within the Hybrid and Electronic System Team for a Chief Engineer – Energy Storage Systems to lead and deliver on-going client technology projects and to lead and develop the battery systems team.

• To manage the energy storage systems technical team and deliver client projects
• Provide line-management and technical leadership to a specialist team of engineers in the area of energy storage (e.g. battery, fuel cell, super-capacitor…)
• Communicate directly with clients on technical issues
• Deliver projects on-time and on-budget
• Discuss and agree technical solutions and support commercial discussions with clients
• Support the sales teams through client discussions and development of technical proposals

• Master’s degree in Engineering
• Experience in leading engineering projects in the automotive industry
• Experience in leading and developing engineering teams
• Knowledge of energy storage system architectures and management systems
• Good understanding of battery cell chemistries
• Experience of designing automotive power systems
• Willingness to travel internationally on short assignments
