COMPANY DESCRIPTION:
Eurofins BioPharma Business Line is a global, premium-class contract research organization (CRO) covering the whole chain of drug development including the preclinical and clinical phases with focus on Early Development, Central Laboratory Services and BioPharmaceutical Product Testing.
Within this International Business line, BioPharma Product Testing (BPT) spans the complete product development cycle by performing analyses at every stage: API & impurities analysis, stability studies, method development and validation, packaging testing (suitability, protection, sterility), cleaning validation, environmental documentation, sterility testing and hygiene monitoring, for small and large molecules.

You will be in charge of the current business unit of Eurofins BioPharma Product Testing in Slovakia, what currently includes locations in Bratislava and Piešťany.
Your focus will initially be on stabilization and turnaround of operations in Slovakia, expanding the capacities and capabilities as well as implementing a growth strategy by reallocating of laboratories to new common location and implementing policies and procedures to expand the existing business.

SUMMARY OF POSITION AND OBJECTIVES:
The Managing Director of BioPharma Product Testing Slovakia is responsible for providing leadership for the BioPharma Product Testing laboratories in Slovakia, establishing range of goals aligned with scientific and commercial strategy, implementation of operational excellence, establishing plans to build up strategic competitive advantages and grow the business significantly. He/She should ensure that all companies are led by excellent leaders and those succeed in achieving and exceeding agreed upon goals.


POSITION & OBJECTIVES:
General Management
• Lead according to Eurofins Leadership Charter and act as a role model for leadership and staff. Eurofins leadership principles give a very large degree of autonomy to each Business’ Leader (within agreed upon financial and operational performance measures).
• Motivate and build positive working environment which stimulates open communication, creativity, and imagination, and engenders a team spirit in problem-solving and identifying, capturing new business opportunities.
• Support other leader in achieving their strategic goals and targets. We are large Group of harmonized testing facilities, and we can succeed only if we cooperate and work together.
• Support the Sub-Regional Business Line Leader to prepare and propose annual budget and 3 years mid-term plan. Report on any deviations to agree upon results and work closely with financial controlling.
• Support development and implementation of strategic initiatives and plans in the scope of responsibility.
Corporate Strategy
• Develop with Sub-Regional Business Line Leader strategic plans related to service and products portfolio prioritization, optimization, sales, production, payer contracts and IT Solutions to maximize the profitable growth and support business activities.
• With the leaders of the companies in he/she scope, create a value proposition that will support revenue growth especially through enhanced inter-company business
• Lead sales activities in Slovakia and other neighboring countries where we have direct sales
• Participate in Key Account and relationship management as needed.
• Coordinate activities with other EBPT sites in Europe and local National Service Center.
• Make sure that cross-selling synergies with other Eurofins laboratories in Europe are being further developed.
• Support M&A activities in CEE area and integration of new companies into the Group.

Operations
• Accountable for full P&L of all laboratories in the scope.
• Responsible for turnaround and change management.
• Increase operational effectiveness, productivity, and bottom-line results, by implementing best-in-class processes and metrics.
• Analyze operating results and their principal components relative to established objectives. Ensure the soundness of the business’ financial structure. Take appropriate steps for corrective action as required.
• Stabilize the organization and client relations to be able to cope with significant market opportunities.
• Build market position and drive business development activities in Slovakia and Czech Republic.
• Streamline the operational processes and make good use of IT tools to achieve high efficiency. Support the development, implementation and optimal use of the new Laboratory Information Management System, eLims-BPT, and ensure its efficient usage at all levels of the laboratory to improve productivity, profitability and quality.
• Be responsible for Quality of service and compliance with all legal and contractual obligations in all businesses of he/she scope. Set up appropriate control mechanisms to detect any relevant deviation.
• Define and agree goals and milestones with the leaders of the companies in his/her scope, and ensure goals are defined and communicated to their respective teams. Set up customer centric Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor progress. Follow up as appropriate and become hands on if required to ensure achievement of goals.
• Support the leaders under his/her responsibility in projects related to the building, commissioning or expansion of new and existing sites.
• As and if needed, act as an Interim manager for companies without an adequate leader or for specific M&A projects and tasks.
• Ensure group systems policies and processes are adhered to across the business line under he/she responsibility.
• Develop the company’s activities through organic growth with the objective of a minimum 20% organic growth per year, while meeting agreed EBIT growth objectives.
• Guarantee and control that all relevant legal and health & safety requirements are being abided to, in the Business Unit(s) under his/her direct or indirect responsibility, that the GMP approvals are being maintained and regularly expanded and that all employees act according to Eurofins values.
• Maintain Customer satisfaction, including internal customers.
• Improve the technical and scientific capabilities and capacity of the business units by ensuring the appropriate development and application of new techniques and business processes.

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Educational Specialization

Education: • Undergraduate degree or Master of science in chemistry and/or biochemistry or engineering; or Business Administration degree with relevant Life Sciences industry experience. • Masters or PhD degree highly preferred.

Experience in the position/sector

Experience: • Minimum of 10 years working experience, out of which 3 years with full P&L responsibil
