Job Description

 

Specialist will be supporting the central Organization Service Engineering Team in terms of maintaining continuous integration and automation for on premise and cloud environments. As DevOps specialist you are familiar with continuous delivery and automation techniques. We are looking for an interdisciplinary interested person for middle ware products, various build and deployment techniques.

 

Responsibilities

 

• You will be a member of a highly specialized Automation Team working for the biggest German Energy Trading company

• You will gain cutting edge knowledge in terms of cloud – and automation technology

• You will analyse and improve the current application server environment on premise and in cloud with the focus on certain middleware products and application services.

• You will build up continuous delivery pipelines for application developers

• You will develop the automation by developing Chef scripts

• You will create Team City build and deployment jobs

• You will assist developers, application owners on their migration journey to Amazon Cloud with a standardize migration approach developed in the Service Engineering Team

• You will closely work with the application developers and implement their requirements in terms of automation to ensure continuous delivery into production will be possible

• You will be part of global maintenances, where you manage the middle software

 

Required Skills

 

• Experiences in a release and deployment tool like Team City or similar

• Familiar in using Subversion, GIT, Stash

• Working knowledge or first contact with Amazon Web Services

• Familiar with the installation and configuration of various middle ware products, Tomcat, Hibernate, IIS, Java Runtime, Rabbit MQ or Active MQ, Kafka or equivalent products

• Version Control tools like Subversion, GIT, Stash

• Fundamental development skills in Power Shell or other scripting or program languages

• Familiar with Windows and Linux server

• Familiar with an Infrastructure monitoring tool – desirable

• Experiences with CHEF or Ansible – desirable • Familiar with Amazon cloud services – desirable
