Job description, responsibilities and duties

Initially, you will focus on taking ownership of one of our established core applications; you will develop a detailed understanding of how this application is designed, how it is integrated with our systems landscape, how to use it optimally, and how to address operational incidents. As you continue, you will grow into a position where you can serve as the go-to person for all questions regarding the operations of this application.

BEYOND THAT, YOU WILL:

- coordinate the development of application enhancements as well as changes required in the context of adaptive maintenance
- monitor service levels, stability, infrastructure utilization, and other metrics to feed these insights back to application developers and other relevant partners
- provide L2 support and respond to operational incidents by conducting impact analysis, root cause analysis, and by designing and implementing workarounds and fixes
- You lead all relevant communication with customers regarding your application

You will join Chapter Operations, a team responsible for operations and L2/L3 support for our applications and systems. The chapter is based in Bratislava (SK) and works closely with colleagues in Zurich (CH), Riga (LV) and Munich (DE).

Personality requirements and skills

You are a self-motivated person, embrace change, and enjoy continuous learning. Solid communication skills in spoken and written English enable you to thrive in our international environment.

Agile working environments are your comfort zone, you are proficient in applying agile methodologies like e.g. Scrum or Kanban, and you know what DevOps is.

Combining a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a comparable qualification with more than 3 years of relevant practical experience in IT operations or system administration, you are well-positioned to become a key contributor of our chapter.

To succeed in this role, you have or are ready to acquire a deep understanding of DevOps and the knowledge required to shape a CI/CD software development process.

Ideally you have hands-on experience with cloud technologies in public, private, and hybrid setups, including a solid understanding of container technologies like e.g. Docker or Kubernetes. We would like to see proficiency in one or multiple programming or scripting language like e.g. Java, JavaScript, Bash, or PowerShell. It would be great if you knew SQL, web applications, and Linux system administration. Lastly, previous experience in information security, IAM, or with SailPoint Identity IQ would be a huge plus.
