The Opportunity
As a Cognos Visualization Engineer you will be pivotal in operationalizing the data and analytics initiatives for Finance Systems. This role will require both creative and collaborative work with IT and wider business. It will involve evangelizing effective data visualization practices and promoting a better understanding of data visualization and analytics.
Responsibilities
• Design and create aesthetically appealing and informative data visualizations for both internal and external stakeholders that enable actionable insights and meet business requirements.
• Collaborate with development teams and data scientists to build front-end UX solutions that utilize advanced statistics and analytics models for various business processes.
• Conceptualize and develop interactive data visualizations that make complex data more accessible and understandable for advocates.
• Rapidly create, test, and maintain interactive visualizations or reports, resolving any data-related issues and conflicts that may arise.
• Ensure high adoption rates of data visualization tools by prioritizing usability, user experience, data integrity, user training, and go-live support.
• Contribute to communities of interest in visualization and analytics by developing standards, best practices, and policies for data visualization and reporting quality.
• Additionally, provide training, coaching, and support to business users, and prepare documentation of technical requirements and data definitions.

• Strong data visualization capabilities, including at least 4 years of experience Cognos 11 BI, Business Intelligence Reports, TM1 OLAP solutions and designing and analyzing business and technical models. Installation, Configuration, Developing Reports and Content administration.
• At least 2 years of experience working in cross-functional team and collaborating with business stakeholders in support of departmental and/or multi-departmental analytics initiatives.
• At least 2 years of experience in data sourcing, transformation and clean up on TM1/PA OLAP.
